Categories trocar

Don't worry, English is fine. :-) I created the Category:Helsinki just because there were a page with the red link to that category, but I understand that with just one article inside it is almost useless. Some other small wiki does not care about almost emty categories, also because they should be filled with the time, but now I will remember that on lad.wiki you need at least some articles before a category is created. ;-) Ciao! --Phyrexian ɸ 19:08 6 Abr 2016 (UTC)

Ladino Wikipedia trocar

Hello StevenJ81, and thank you for your welcome. My intention is to categorize all cities/towns in Spain, first as cities in Spain, and then, in the regions, and where it could be necessary, in provinces. There were some articles without any category, so I guess I'm working in the right way. In case you don't agree, please, tell me. I stop till a new answer. --Millars (discusión) 18:42 7 Jun 2016 (UTC)

That's generally fine. I guess what I'm thinking here is that true cities are cities. Things smaller than that should be probably "localidades" (or something like that), and should probably be categorized directly by province, at largest. I'm worried that if you categorize them any more broadly (by region, or worse, "en Espanya"), the categories will be so crowded that they won't be of much use. StevenJ81 (discusión) 18:52 7 Jun 2016 (UTC)
Also: We have the pseudobot/flooder flag here. It doesn't really help for HotCat, because HotCat ignores that bit when it edits. But if you are doing a lot of other types of repetitive things here I'm happy to give you that flag while you're working. (It's set up here so you can unflag yourself when you're done.) StevenJ81 (discusión) 18:54 7 Jun 2016 (UTC)

Hello again. I did not see you message. Please, when you answer me, could you call me with a {{ping|Millars}} or with a message in my discussion. If not I'll read it in several days because I don't receive any note. About cities and "localidades", the therm city is quite confused and in this case I think they can be the same. So, I prefer categorize all localidades of Spain as cities of Spain. Then, I'll create categories for cities in every region. Maybe I can do this directly. About the flag, yes, it could be useful if you think it would be better, but I don't mind. Tomorrow I start a travel and after I attend Wikimania, so I don't now when I can continue that task. About the stubs deleted. I don't know how they are. In my opinion, that they were or not in another language should not be a relevance criteria. Sometimes having a stub that does not exist in any other project is more interesting because that language offers an information that could not be find in any other place. But of course it depends on the stub. I can not say yes or no for all of them, and less, without reading them. --Millars (discusión) 12:11 11 Jun 2016 (UTC)

@Millars: I thought I left the message in your discussion at eswiki. My apologies.
No hurry on the task. Ping me when you think you might start working and I'll flag you.
As for the stubs I deleted, look, for example, at the page Presiyas. That page is not deleted, of course. But the pages I deleted are all to about that level of detail, no more. And they all needed wikifying.
I agree that sometimes a stub that does not exist in any other project is more interesting. I would never delete a stub about Sefardic Jewish culture, personalities, or historical locations from this wiki, no matter what. But the place-stubs I deleted were all places in northern Spain—usually somewhere in Burgos, and at that usually somewhere in the Merindades. None of them displayed any historical ties to the history of Jews in Spain, which might have given them special notability on this wiki. Yes, places usually carry inherent notability. But I assume that if these places do not even qualify for a page on their native language Wikipedia (eswiki or cawiki or arwiki or any other Spanish regional-language wikis) that they are judged not to be notable. In that case, I need some independent evidence of notability, and there just was no such evidence. So that is my justification.
Feel free to go through my deletion logs and ask me to pick a handful at random to restore so that you can look at them.
By the way, I use a little javascript at Usador:StevenJ81/esWPtab.js so that I have an immediate link to the potential eswiki page for comparison purposes. Sometimes that only takes me to a search page, as spelling can be different. But I have tried to do my homework on this. StevenJ81 (discusión) 14:39 14 Jun 2016 (UTC)
@Marrovi: This was the approach we had thought to take for categorizing places in Spain. I'd appreciate any comments you have. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 11 Av 5776 • 17:22 15 Ago 2016 (UTC)

I'm back trocar

Hi Steven,

I'm sorry for having such a long wikibreak, but I logged in for the first time almost since the beginning of the year (I flew 6 times from one country to another and just a week ago I moved back). And I'm trying to review everything I've missed one-by-one right now. Hope to stay in touch! :) --Universal Life (discusión) 17:18 26 Jun 2016 (UTC)

Good to have you back. I've been trying to hold things together, but it's much easier when you're around. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 21 Siván 5776 • 03:04 27 Jun 2016 (UTC)

Shalom, I'm with the coordinates in each town and city. Juliantla is a exemple for other places. Merci, shabat shalom. --Marrovi (discusión) 14:47 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

@Marrovi: Shalom! You can add a |tipo_div_2 = Munisipio for cases like that. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 26 Tammuz 5776 • 14:50 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Ok, thanks.--Marrovi (discusión) 14:51 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Estados de Meshiko trocar

The names of Mexican states can to change in ladino, for example Muevo Leon for Nuevo León, Kampeche for Campeche or Yukatan for Yucatán, but I think in other cases can to be the same in Spanish, What about you? --Marrovi (discusión) 16:54 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

@Marrovi: I agree. I would make sure that there are redirects from "properly spelled in Spanish" names (like Campeche) to respelled names (like Kampeche). If there are very likely redirects in the other direction (like maybe Tabasko to Tabasco) I would add those, too. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 26 Tammuz 5776 • 16:57 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Are you prefer in Spanish? I can redirect to Spanish.--Marrovi (discusión) 17:01 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

The changes in djudeoespanyol are Basha Kalifornia, Basha Kalifornia Sud, Yukatan, Muevo Leon, Meshiko, without problems.--Marrovi (discusión) 17:10 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

I don't have a strong opinion. If you force me to choose, I would say:
  • If there is a traditional name in djudeoespanyol , definitely use it, and redirect from Spanish. This includes names that include a common djudeoespanyol word or name, like muevo instead of nuevo (or, of course, Yerushalayim and not Jerusalén).
  • Otherwise, it's really up to you. If you are trying to write using Aki Yerushalayim spelling, then it's probably good to be consistent with that. Just make sure there is a redirect from the modern Spanish name, because some people will look for it that way.
  • Most important, make sure you connect things in Wikidata, which you normally do.
I hope that helps. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 26 Tammuz 5776 • 17:13 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

I'm learnig ladino very speed, but I prefer Aki Yerushalayim pronunciation as soon as Autonomic Communities of Spain (exemple; Kantabria for Cantabria). In Spanish colonial language we have Gvadaxara for Guadalajara, Xalapa for Jalapa. In other languages Yucatán and Jalisco states is diferent to Spanish in wikidata.

If use Aki Yesushalayim for Aguascalientes is Aguaskalientes, in Ladino is Aguas and Kalientes (Hot waters).

Right. And I think using Aguaskalientes is fine. Just put a redirect at Aguascalientes. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 26 Tammuz 5776 • 17:32 1 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Kateggoria trocar

Hi Steven, I'm use Aki Yerushayaim system, but redirected two uses in writing, for example; French system Sivdades d'Andalusia by Oriental system in Lashon Hakodesh; Sivdades de Andaluziya, without apostrophe as French system.--Marrovi (discusión) 17:29 15 Ago 2016 (UTC)

That part is completely fine. I was thinking more of Sivdades de Espanya > Sivdades de Kastiya i Leon. We thought to use one very local category and one "Spain" category, rather than using something in the middle like "Kastiya i Leon". StevenJ81 (discusión) • 11 Av 5776 • 17:31 15 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Photographs you uploaded trocar

Hey,

I honestly don't remember, probably with a phone or an old camera I no longer have with me, and that was years ago. Feel free to get them deleted by our friends at Commons if that is the case. I don't have much free time now to write the policy in Ladino, especially if I'm the only one who can actually read it, apart from Universal Life. I will try later to have a friend in Morocco to upload a better picture when he goes to Marrakesh. --Maor X (discusión) 20:33 22 Ago 2016 (UTC)

@Maor X: Thanks for replying. For the pictures: If you're telling me that you took them, and that you are freely licensing them, that's fine. I just need to know you didn't scan them from a book somewhere. For the policy, I'm trying to get some help. I think the way to go on that is to write a policy in English, then ask you or UL simply to translate once it is written. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 19 Av 5776 • 20:40 22 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Haquetía trocar

Shalom, StevenJ81, I don't know French variant, but I write Haketía, is a Marrocan Variant as similar judeoespañol spoken in Latino American countries (my grand grand father, and many old people in my town spoke a variant similar to Marrocan Sephardi languages) , I don't know if this variant is similar to French variant. I'm looking about French variant but is difficult understand as wrote Frech variant.--Marrovi (discusión) 16:08 25 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Occident variants are similar to Marrocan ladino, named as Jaketía. Ladino in Latinoamerican countries was absorbed by Modern Spanish language, but in many towns, many Sephardic descendents (old people) speak a Colonial Spanish very similar to Marrocan Ladino.--Marrovi (discusión) 16:10 25 Ago 2016 (UTC)

@Marrovi and Universal Life: That's fine, Marrovi. As long as we know what you're trying to do it's good. Universal Life can give you more guidance on different spelling conventions. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 21 Av 5776 • 16:39 25 Ago 2016 (UTC)
I am going to revert your edits on La Primera Oja (OF). If you want to create a version of La Primera Oja (Haquetía), feel free to do that in parallel. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 21 Av 5776 • 16:41 25 Ago 2016 (UTC)

Wilaya, kreo. O enel texto "wilaya (provinsia)".
(Google translate from English to Spanish.)
(Google translate again.) Entiendo. (Universal Life, ¿qué te parece?)

Y yo no hablo español...

Usually, I am happy to try Spanish, especially when we're just talking, and even if I use Google translate. When I have a specific question about, say, a template, I will probably use English, because I want to make sure I get my question right. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 16 Kislev 5777 • 17:42 16 Diz 2016 (UTC)

From my point of view, it will make my life much easier to write you in English. I am very sensitive not to appear like an "Ugly American" who can never be bothered to deal with a different language. I'm not like that, and in languages where I have some fluency (like fr and he) I try hard to use them. But I don't really have Spanish, so if we can talk in English, that's very helpful. Thank you. Thanks ... and Warning trocar

Marrovi, I appreciate your fixing the articles I tagged. Thank you.

At the same time, making a comment like "Datos insignificantes, no son motivo de borrado, eso lo puede areglar cualquier usuario" is entirely inappropriate. There aren't a lot of contributors here, so you can't expect someone to come back around and clean up after you. Additionally, it's one thing to make a mistake sometimes and hope someone else will fix it. It's another to be entirely sloppy about creating pages, and then to say, "it's not important, anyone can fix it". No. It's your responsibility to get it reasonably correct to start with.

If that's going to be your attitude to editing, then I need to block you as a vandal. And I've been advised by stewards that intentionally creating pages with unchecked information can be considered vandalism. Mostly, I don't want to block you. But I also can't keep up with you. So if I tag pages for correction, or leave you a message requesting corrections, please just do that, and don't start telling us it's not your job. If you continue to have that kind of attitude, I will start implementing blocks of increasing length, if for no other reason than that I would want to stop you from creating new material while I fix your mistakes. Please don't make me do that.

Notifying @Universal Life and Maor X. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 21 Teveth 5777 • 01:56 19 Jen 2017 (UTC)

{{Referensias}}

On the whole, I agree well enough with most of what you have said here. I do want to keep our working relationship cordial. But I must respectfully disagree with you on a few things.
  • There is almost no risk that this wiki will disappear, even if it does not continue to grow. I am an administrator and bureaucrat on Incubator, and work closely with the Langcom. And I have been told very clearly that it is against policy to delete wikis absent very strong and specific reasons to do so, none of which apply to ladwiki.
  • If the situation were that you wrote articles, occasionally made some data or other similar errors, and someone like me needed to come along and fix them, that would be entirely fine and appropriate. But when you essentially create 15 articles by cutting and pasting the same information, and it is wrong in 14 of them, then what you're doing is not contributing to the community, but simply creating busy work for other contributors. And if I were a fluent judeoespañol speaker, what you would be doing would be to prevent me from spending time writing pages I want to write in order to spend time correcting pages that you wrote. And that is inappropriate. Now, I never mean that you can't paste 15 pages in quick succession, and then more-or-less right away go back and touch them up. But when the uncorrected pages have already been here for months, we have a problem.
  • This is not about what Akapochtli is trying to do at Meta or at his other wiki. But on that page, I also see that you have been banned at eswiki for this kind of thing, and members of other wikis (who do not support a global ban) say that they must go back and review each and every edit you make. We just don't have enough people here to do that. So if you are going to make changes in such a way that we have to review each and every one you make, we just can't continue to do that. And in that case, we'd have to ask you to stop contributing.
  • As for what templates I use, I created something to get your attention. I adapted it from the {{delete}} template, which already existed here. And the template {{referensias}} doesn't really cover most of the cases. (Tijuana, yes. Others, no.) If I am seeing 15 pages having the same population, it's not a question of whether you have references to support what you've written. Clearly it's wrong in most of those cases, and you need to fix them. So it's not a problem of bad references, it's a problem of the page needing work. Consider {{problemas}} the equivalent of en:Template:Cleanup, or one of the more specific versions of the cleanup template on enwiki.
You don't need to copy and paste to my talk page. I'm watching for your responses here. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 22 Teveth 5777 • 19:09 19 Jen 2017 (UTC)

As you can see we have at least three people working on it every day since January. Could you please give us a hand? --Katxis (discusión) 16:07 2 Mar 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Will answer you over there, on my talk page, as it's more appropriate to do so. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 4 Adhar 5777 • 16:10 2 Mar 2017 (UTC)
Shalom, thank you for help me in Incubator. Here in Ladino Wikipedia I'm working very hard with subdivisions. Mersi.--Marrovi (discusión) 21:16 13 Mar 2017 (UTC)
I see that. It's fine, but please continue to add content to them; don't just create stubs.
  • For here: Soon I'm going to do an example of pulling Wikidata in, figuring you can take that and run with it.

Hi Steven; I edited a portal from Mexico, the objective is to help and to make changes very easy with the mistakes; is edited in Aki Yerushalayim and Hebraic orthography. Regards.--Marrovi (discusión) 15:59 20 Mar 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know. I would have thought this project was too small for Portals, but if you want a portal, you can have a portal. So I'll link it to any other Mexico portals out there. Thanks for letting me know. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 22 Adhar 5777 • 16:24 20 Mar 2017 (UTC)
If you want the Jewish movies, I recommend you this film My Mexican Shivah, this comedian film is very illustrative between Urban Mexican culture and Jewish traditions.--Marrovi (discusión) 21:30 20 Mar 2017 (UTC)

Sorry, could you please put some examples of the stubs that need improving. We made a list and I am a bit lost now as the ones that appear to me have more than one paragraph and/or have a template, thus they have more than three phrases so I don't know what to improve. --Katxis (discusión) 11:38 27 Jul 2017 (UTC)
I don't have any specific examples to provide. I'm just generally concerned that some pages look like they provide decently complete treatment of their subjects, and are substantially more than a paragraph. I guess I'd like to see more articles looking like Astronomiya, or even אסטרונומייה, than like Tulancingo. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 5 Av 5777 • 20:50 27 Jul 2017 (UTC)

Shalom. Could you take a look of the articles that appear here an tell me which ones would need to be expanded or, if it is easier, which ones are fine. I know it is quite a long list but I want to be sure that we meet the requirements. Todah. --Katxis (discusión) 06:33 30 Jul 2017 (UTC)

I've been checking the stubs by clicking on the Random page button and after 16 times I haven't found a stub. Could you please check it and also tell me if it is ready for the voting. --Katxis (discusión) 11:51 1 Ago 2017 (UTC)

I'll check a little later today. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 9 Av 5777 • 12:50 1 Ago 2017 (UTC)
Shalom. (Sorry for bothering again with this) How does it look like? Do you think we can get it approved? --Katxis (discusión) 10:37 2 Ago 2017 (UTC)
Sorry. Went home early and tired yesterday due to Tisha B'Av.
Current situation is as follows: (1) voting changes were approved. (2) Wy/hi and Wb/ba are about a day or two away from approval, and Wt/hif is only about half a week behind. (3) Your project and Wp/gor are the next two we are going to take to LangCom. (4) I just did a ten-page test, and found only one to be what I'd still really consider a stub: incubator:Wp/lfn/Grenada. A couple of other pages (like incubator:Wp/lfn/England are pretty nearly stubs, but probably just good enough to be considered solid. On the whole, I'd venture you're probably ready for a review. (Don't be surprised if some LangCom members want to hold your project to a high standard, though.)
There are a lot of red links in all the articles, and I wonder how many are really red links, and how many are because people linked to [[name]] and not [[Wp/lfn/name|name]]. But while I'd have you fix those here and now, they will automatically fix on export, too.
Finally, I could still use your help around here a little. I know that your main interest is in helping new projects get going—witness lfn, jam and the like. But I just don't have too many people with JS knowledge, and I'm constantly arm-wrestling with Marrovi on some of this stuff. So I'd really ask that at least if I ping you for a question, maybe you'll still help out here. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 10 Av 5777 • 13:41 2 Ago 2017 (UTC)

Muevas (NEWS) trocar

@Marrovi, Universal Life, and Maor X: Marrovi,
  • In general, I do not see any need to have two Latin-script articles on a single topic. If two are written, and both are well-detailed and well-sourced, we won't delete them. But I really do not see a need for a second Latin-script article if it's only a stub; better to let it be a redirect to the well-written article. I suspect most Ladino speakers can navigate any spelling decently well.
I make an exception for Hebrew-script, but that's mostly sentimental (because it's really the original and definitive way to write JS).
  • I am very much not inclined to start listing articles here as GA or FA. We just don't have the editor base to evaluate, check and maintain them. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 16 Kislev 5778 • 15:54 4 dec 2017 (UTC)Responder
I love Hebrew script, I think to use this script in many articles. I bought a book for learning Hebrew writing and I'm leaning on this.Marrovi (discusión) 16:47 4 dec 2017 (UTC)Responder
Fine. But remember that use of Hebrew script in JS is different from use in Hebrew itself, and different from use in Yiddish. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 16 Kislev 5778 • 16:48 4 dec 2017 (UTC)Responder
For example; ײרושאלאײם is in JS, ירושלים in Hebrew?. Marrovi (discusión) 13:22 12 dec 2017 (UTC)Responder
No. It will be ירושלים in both. That's fundamentally a Hebrew name, so will always keep its Hebrew spelling. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 24 Kislev 5778 • 14:58 12 dec 2017 (UTC)Responder

Shalom, is very necessary to have got new changes in Xablón:Sivdad; superfisia for superfisie, jentilisio for djentilisio, kodigo for code and mor. for avi. Grettings.Marrovi (discusión) 17:26 17 dec 2017 (UTC)Responder

This templete in Djudeo-espanyol is very, very bad, in spanish is costa, in Ladino it's beira, in Spanish is superficie, in ladino it's superfisia. Regards.Marrovi (discusión) 19:16 4 jen 2018 (UTC)Responder

On the one hand, I understand. On the other, it's a lot of work to change templates, and you can't just change them overnight. There's a way to do it while keeping them backwards compatible: Effectively you say, "If there is a 'jentilisio', use it, else (if there is a 'djentilisio', use it, else {call from Wikidata))". Then you change the documentation. This way, if an existing page has a "djentilisio" on it, it will still work. I'll start working on all of these over time. Note here on my talk page what needs fixing. But don't fix those yourself, please. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 18 Teveth 5778 • 19:21 4 jen 2018 (UTC)Responder

Unificar Criterios trocar

Administrator rights on LFN Wikipedia trocar

Shalom Steven, ma nishmah? I would like to ask you for some help at the LFN Wikipedia as one administrator has lost his rights from one day to another and I don't know how to change them so has he can get them back. --Chabi (discusión) 07:42 20 ago 2018 (UTC)Responder

also, I don;t know why but ath the Ladino wikiepdia I could change other users' rights but at the LFN one I can't. Do you know why is that? --Chabi (discusión) 07:55 20 ago 2018 (UTC)Responder
Shalom, @Chabi. Hakol beseder. My granddaughter is visiting me from Israel, which is great fun!
So here's what's going on:
  • On Ladino Wikipedia you are a bureaucrat as well as an administrator. Bureaucrats are the ones with the right to change users' rights. Mostly, administrators who are not bureaucrats can't do that.
Also, if we were all just joining now, current policy would say that Ladino Wikipedia is not big enough and active enough to have its own bureaucrats. The fact that we all have this right is because we are grandfathered—at least someone on this project had the rights before current policy was set up, and stewards won't take that away unless we misbehave, which we don't.
  • On LFN, you are only an administrator, so you can't change users' rights. And for the reasons I just stated, even if you had an election on LFN Wikipedia and they agree to make you a bureaucrat, the stewards would say no. So don't even bother.
  • Also ... currently on small projects administrator rights are always given only temporarily. (Again, that's not true here because we had the rights before the policy change.) So on LFN Wikipedia (and jamwiki, too, as far as it goes), administrators must always watch out for their rights expiration dates, and open a new election a week before that, or they will lose their rights.
That's what happened to Professor Boeree, so he needs to open a new administrator election at LFN Wikipedia. When one week has passed, we can take that to the stewards, who will probably renew for six months this time.
Also: your rights there expire this coming Friday. So you should open a new election, too.
Hope that helped. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 9 Elul 5778 • 16:22 20 ago 2018 (UTC)Responder

Shalom Steven ve'todah rabah for your explanation. My knowledge is really limited and I try to help as much as I can on the different projects I take part of but usually I don't need more. The only thing for me is that is a bit tiring going through the whole election process again each six months, wouldn't it be possible to di it each year? --Chabi (discusión) 21:00 22 ago 2018 (UTC) PS: Hope you're enjoying your time with your family. All the best. --Chabi (discusión) 21:01 22 ago 2018 (UTC)Responder

I'm going to try very hard to get you and Prof. Boeree a full year this time. Remember that part of the reason you've had to go through every six on these is that you've gotten rights on different wikis, and each of them is a startup. I can probably convince stewards to give you a year this time, as they did on jamwiki. I might be able to get him a year on the grounds that he's the language creator, so people there tend to defer to his decisions. (But if I do that, it will be more effective if I also say that you will be watching over his shoulder—and you're experienced.) I'll try to keep an eye open there, but I already don't spend enough time here at ladwiki, and I'm reluctant to spread myself thinner. Hi Steven. Please delete it, I really don't have the time anymore. I am trying to push the project of the English-Jamaican dictionary on my each day less little time and from time to time I contribute to the LFN Wikia and Wikipedia but I think I will also have to stop doing that. I am going for a trip next week and I will decide what to do on that weekend but I am sure I won't have time for this project anymore. Todah rabah for all your help here in the Ladino Wikipedia. --Katxis (discusión) 09:21 7 feb 2019 (UTC)Responder

Kotava trocar

Hi Steven,

I just took a look at the Kotava project at the Incubator and I believe they should be fine to be approved as they have a strong community editing every day. They already have more than 3000 articles and they've been there for while. Is there anything you could do? Toda. --Chabi (discusión) 13:21 26 jul 2019 (UTC)Responder

@Chabi and Katxis: Hi, back. The problem, as you well know, is that members of LangCom (to the extent I can get them to participate at all!) are quite hostile to conlangs. I worked very hard to get LFN through, and I don't know how easy it will be to get this one through. There are a few other projects ahead of it, anyway:
  • Four still waiting on language verification. (I'm probably going to have to write experts next week, and that's one LangCom task I had hoped not to have to do.)
  • 4-6 others I've been holding until the phabricator block is resolved (because what's the point?).
Let's see where we are this autumn. Shabbat Shalom. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 23 Tammuz 5779 • 14:18 26 jul 2019 (UTC)Responder

Repuesta al messaje de "July 2019" trocar

Saludes Steven
Thank you so very much for being here while I can't access WP, for keeping an eye and doing all you do. I really appreciate it!

  • About Chandragupta Maurya, as you said, it's entirely Castilian Spanish. Not worth keeping articles from other languages, to be translated later. So, I'll go ahead and delete it.
  • About Rashi - I agree with you about not marking up each individual page. And as you say, it would be very good to set the font up as a gadget, so that people wanting such a font (or wanting to suppress such a font) could do that. I think that most probably there are some free Rashi fonts, it just needs to be searched on Google I guess.
  • About the discussion of rafé or varica, varica is a variant of rafé and I think that varica was mainly used while writing with Rashi alphabet. However, I have also heard that many printing places have used varying signs instead in the past, for lack of it. (Also with block letters, I think géresh was used.) I think I used rafé when I first started writing in the LadWP, as that was the closest I had. I don't think it's worth the effort to go through every page to change them, at least for now.
  • Again, thank you for everything else :)

Take care,

How we will see unregistered users trocar

¡Hola!

Gracias. /Johan (WMF)

Your advanced permissions on lad.wikipedia trocar

Hello. A policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, interface administrator, etc.) was adopted by community consensus in 2013. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.

You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no logged actions for 2 years) on this wiki. Since this wiki, to the best of our knowledge, does not have its own rights review process, the global one applies.

If you want to keep your advanced permissions, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. A community notice about this process has been also posted on the local Village Pump of this wiki. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at the m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights.

If you wish to resign your rights, please request removal of your rights on Meta.

If there is no response at all after one month, stewards will proceed to remove your administrator and/or bureaucrat rights. In ambiguous cases, stewards will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact the stewards.

Yours faithfully. علاء (diskusyón) 09:18 17 jen 2022 (UTC)Responder
